An overseas production enterprise of imported food shall be registered with GACC.
Production enterprise refers to food manufactures, producers, processors, packers, storage operations etc.
The registration methods include the registration recommended by the competent authority of the country (region) where they are located and the application for registration of enterprises.
GACC determines the registration method and application materials of overseas manufacturers of imported food based on the analysis of factors such as the source of raw materials, production and processing technology, historical data of food safety, consumer groups, and eating methods, and in combination with international practices.
